Workshop SuS_AGRI: la sfida della riduzione del consumo idrico nell'agricoltura moderna nell'era della crisi climatica

Il progetto SuS_AGRI, cofinanziato dall’Unione Europea nell’ambito del programma Interreg IPA South Adriatic 2021-2027, è lieto di annunciare un workshop intitolato “La sfida della riduzione dell’uso dell’acqua nell’agricoltura moderna nell’era della crisi climatica”. L’evento si terrà il 30 giugno 2025, dalle 09:00, presso l’Università degli Studi del Molise, Dipartimento di Agricoltura, Ambiente e Alimenti, in Via De Sanctis s.n.c., Campobasso, nella Sala “Mendel”.

Il workshop di Campobasso, organizzato da Legambiente Molise APS nell’ambito del progetto Small Scale Susagri, mira ad affrontare le pressanti questioni relative alla gestione dell’acqua in agricoltura di fronte ai cambiamenti climatici.

Il workshop riunirà esperti, ricercatori e professionisti del settore per discutere strategie e soluzioni innovative. La giornata inizierà alle 9:00 con la registrazione dei partecipanti, seguita dai discorsi di benvenuto di illustri personalità tra cui Raffaele Coppola, Direttore del Dipartimento di Agricoltura, Ambiente e Alimenti dell’Università del Molise, e Sandra Scarlatelli, della Regione Molise.

La presentazione del progetto SUSAGRI sarà curata da Chiara Cancellario, Project Manager per Legambiente Molise APS. Le sessioni della mattinata includeranno interventi di professori dell’Università del Molise: Stefano Marino sulla “Climate-smart agriculture”, Erika Di Iorio su “Soil Water Storage: the Key for Resilient Agriculture”, e Pasquale Avino su “Agriculture and Water: Pollution Doubles the Climate Crisis”. Altri relatori saranno Cristina Monti dal Parco Naturale Regionale Dune Costiere da Torre Canne a Torre San Leonardo e rappresentanti dei Comuni di Roskovec e Danilovgrad, che condivideranno le loro esperienze in materia di investimenti per l’irrigazione e l’impatto economico delle inondazioni.

Dopo la pausa pranzo e le sessioni di networking, il programma pomeridiano prevede interventi della Dott.ssa Dalila di Criscio e della Prof.ssa Nicolaia Iaffaldano dell’Università del Molise, che affronteranno rispettivamente la produzione di miele e l’allevamento avicolo in relazione ai cambiamenti climatici. La giornata si concluderà con una tavola rotonda con esperti del settore agricolo, istituti di ricerca, imprese e associazioni di categoria, seguita da una sessione di feedback e domande e risposte, e le osservazioni conclusive del Prof. Antonio de Cristofaro dell’Università del Molise.

SUSAGRI Workshop: the challenge of reducing water consumption in modern agriculture in an era of climate crisis

The SuS_AGRI project, co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg IPA South Adriatic programme 2021-2027, is pleased to announce a workshop entitled “The challenge of reducing water use in modern agriculture in the era of climate crisis”. The event will be held on 30 June 2025, from 09:00, at the University of Molise, Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food, in Via De Sanctis s.n.c., Campobasso, in the “Mendel” Hall.

The Campobasso workshop, organized by Legambiente Molise APS as part of the Small Scale Susagri project, aims to address pressing issues related to water management in agriculture in the face of climate change.

The workshop will bring together experts, researchers and practitioners to discuss innovative strategies and solutions. The day will begin at 9:00 with registration of participants, followed by welcome speeches from distinguished personalities including Raffaele Coppola, Director of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food of the University of Molise, and Sandra Scarlatelli, representative of the Molise region.

The presentation of the SuS_AGRI project will be curated by Chiara Cancellario, Project Manager for Legambiente Molise APS. The morning sessions will include lectures by professors from the University of Molise: Stefano Marino on “Climate-smart agriculture”, Erika Di Iorio on “Soil Water Storage: the Key for Resilient Agriculture”, and Pasquale Avino on “Agriculture and Water: Pollution Doubles the Climate Crisis”. Other speakers will be Cristina Monti from the Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo Regional Natural Park and representatives from the municipalities of Roskovec and Danilovgrad, who will share their experiences in irrigation investment and the economic impact of floods.

After the lunch break and the networking sessions, the afternoon program includes talks by Dr Dalila di Criscio and Prof Nicolaia Iaffaldano of the University of Molise, which will address the issue of honey production and poultry farming in relation to climate change.

The day will conclude with a round table with experts from the agricultural sector, research institutes, companies and trade associations, followed by a feedback session and questions and answers, and concluding remarks by Prof. Antonio de Cristofaro of the University of Molise.
